Summary: Reporting to the Receiving Supervisor the Pallet Runner is responsible for arranging and relocating pallets and operating a power pallet jack. This position shall ensure that product and pallets within the warehouse are assembled in an organized, safe and timely manner.

Schedule:

•  Tuesdays to Saturdays, 8 hour shifts, Day shift

Duties & Responsibilities:

•  Safely and efficiently navigating the warehouse using a power pallet jack. Obey all safety regulations while operating equipment within the warehouse.

• Lifting, loading/unloading and stacking food service products (up to 60 lbs)

• Relocating pallets from the dock to the warehouse aisles in the most efficient manner.

• Ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety regulations, and Food Safety programs

• Adhering to all Organizational policies, procedures, and Cornerstone Values

• General warehouse cleaning and housekeeping

• All other duties as required

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Must be physically fit and able to safely and repeatedly lift, stack, pull and carry heavy items

• Must be able to work quickly and maintain a high level of energy throughout the shift

• Must have strong customer service abilities and a service mentality

• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with minimal supervision

• Must have strong communication skills and attention to detail

• Power jack experience would be considered an asset

• Previous warehouse experience is preferred

• A high school diploma is preferred

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to work in multiple temperature zones including cooler (0°C to 4°C) and freezer (-20°C to -30°C) environments

• Must be able to handle all types of food products including fresh: seafood, beef, pork, produce, nuts, spices, milk, eggs, etc.

• Steel toe (CSA approved) footwear is required at all times in the warehouse.
