To all of our hard-working, determined and resilient customers:

We want you to know that during these incredibly challenging times we are standing with you as your partner. Our livelihood has always been deeply intertwined with yours and we remain fully committed to our partnership.

As of this writing, many of you are having to pivot and make rapid decisions about how to manage through this fast-evolving crisis. It may be opening for pick-up or delivery-only, finding new ways to serve students or patients who need essential food services, or trying to maintain workersā€™ wages through hardship and uncertainty.

Our foodservice customers include cruise ships, hotels, stadiums, entertainment venues, hospitals, senior living facilities, universities, schools, caterers, chain restaurants, coffee shops, corner bars and restaurants of all stripes, across North America. No matter your size or the type of customer you serve, the impact on your business is profound amid this unprecedented economic and social disruption. Our business is no different. Our hearts are with you.

Yet at the same time, I personally have never been more proud of the people of Gordon Food Service. Throughout the many planning meetings and critical discussions that have taken place over recent weeks, the determination and can-do spirit of our people have been incredible. Our dedication to continuing to serve our customers remains, and we appreciate your understanding and patience as we manage through these unprecedented and fast-changing conditions. At all times, our people and our customers are at the heart of every conversation.

As we enter this next phase in our battle with the virus, Gordon Food Service will continue to prioritize three things:

  1. The health and well-being of our people, customers, and communities;
  2. Serving our customers to the very best of our ability despite challenging conditions; and
  3. Supporting health officials and government leaders as they work to contain the virus.

And you have my promise that we will continue to make decisions with vigilance and courage, informed by the latest information and guided by our Cornerstone Values.

Our crisis management team is working tirelessly to ensure our business, and yours, remain strong. We firmly believe that with you, the best customers in the industry, we can weather this storm together and emerge stronger than ever.

Thank you for all you are doing today for our communities. These are the moments where the strength of our nations and our people shine the brightest.

God bless you all.

Rich Wolowski, CEO
