Summary: Reporting to the Receiving Supervisor the Pallet Runner is responsible for arranging and relocating pallets and operating a power pallet jack. This position shall ensure that product and pallets within the warehouse are assembled in an organized, safe and timely manner.
Schedule:
Tuesdays to Saturdays, 8 hour shifts, Day shift
Duties & Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently navigating the warehouse using a power pallet jack. Obey all safety regulations while operating equipment within the warehouse.
Lifting, loading/unloading and stacking food service products (up to 60 lbs)
Relocating pallets from the dock to the warehouse aisles in the most efficient manner.
Ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety regulations, and Food Safety programs
Adhering to all Organizational policies, procedures, and Cornerstone Values
General warehouse cleaning and housekeeping
All other duties as required
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Must be physically fit and able to safely and repeatedly lift, stack, pull and carry heavy items
Must be able to work quickly and maintain a high level of energy throughout the shift
Must have strong customer service abilities and a service mentality
Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with minimal supervision
Must have strong communication skills and attention to detail
Power jack experience would be considered an asset
Previous warehouse experience is preferred
A high school diploma is preferred
Working Conditions:
Must be able to work in multiple temperature zones including cooler (0°C to 4°C) and freezer (-20°C to -30°C) environments
Must be able to handle all types of food products including fresh: seafood, beef, pork, produce, nuts, spices, milk, eggs, etc.
Steel toe (CSA approved) footwear is required at all times in the warehouse.
