Position Summary:
Join our Prairies Human Resources Team as a Human Resources Coordinator based in Calgary. In this dynamic, in-office role, you’ll provide essential HR support, focusing on onboarding, benefits and wellness administration, payroll, and assisting with special projects. Key Responsibilities:
Enters data into HR systems, maintains HR files and records, and produces HR reports
Coordinates details, logistics, communication, and execution of various events, including training, wellness, orientation, open enrollment, and other divisional HR events
Process payroll for all employees across the Prairies divisions, including entering new hires, terminations, and employee changes into the payroll system
Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and managers in the Prairies divisions, and resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements.
Review, verify, and reconcile timesheets, overtime, and leave balances to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for each pay period.
Facilitates the onboarding of new employees
Works collaboratively with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers on recruitment needs
Conducts payroll support activities
Participates in the planning and implementation of special projects and initiatives
Advises and assists managers and employees in the interpretation and administration of company policies and programs
Ensures regulatory compliance with Employment Standards and legal requirements
Performs other duties as assigned
Education, Skills & Competencies:
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal
Must have the ability to multitask and work well under pressure, at a fast pace
Experience with payroll processing and timekeeping systems
Adaptable, flexible style when dealing with employees
Demonstrate an attitude that contributes to employee engagement and a positive culture
Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Able to work as part of a team
Knowledge of or ability to learn HRIS, applicant tracking software, Electronic Filing software, and other HR systems
Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of Google Applications
Flexible schedule, this position is based on-site
