Position Summary:
Performs professional level human resources duties in the following functional areas: employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, and employment compliance.Ā Works closely with the HR Manager to provide services for a designated division – United Trimen.Ā Ā
Location: 1250 Ormont Drive, North York
Type: Hybrid – 4 days in office, 1 day work from home
Essential Functions:
Collaborate with local management to develop and execute sourcing and retention strategies.
Attend local job fairs and partner with community organizations to enhance recruitment efforts.
Ensure hiring managers complete Interview Skills Training.
Support workforce and labor planning to meet operational needs
Ā
Manage onboarding processes from offer acceptance through the first 90 days, ensuring all paperwork, screenings, and orientation are completed.
Facilitate benefits reviews and introduce policies, procedures, and culture to new hires.
Administer offboarding processes, including paperwork, retirement information, exit surveys, and employee relations.
Ā
Educate leadership on the Performance Management process.
Promote an open-door policy and investigate and resolve employee complaints.
Ā
Oversee claim activities, including managing denials, facilitating the return-to-work process, and serving as the primary contact for employees, managers, and Shared Services.
Ā
Provide actionable insights from HR metrics such as turnover, new hires, and diversity trends.
Ā
Participate in and oversee division-level events such as training sessions, wellness programs, culture events, & other HR-led initiatives.
Ā
Support health and safety initiatives and compliance efforts.
Ā
Perform administrative functions related to general HR responsibilities.
Execute other duties as assigned to support the division and organization.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Excellent communication, presentation skills and problem solving skills.Ā Ā
Knowledge of current trends and developments in the field
Ability to develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.Ā Refers to policies and practices for guidance.Ā
Ability to manage highly confidential and sensitive information.
Must be able to manage oneās own time, prioritize work tasks, be detail-oriented, manage multiple projects, and work in a fast-paced environment.Ā
Professional demeanor, honesty, integrity, drive, tenacity, determination, and a willingness to learn.Ā
Manufacturing experience is a plus.
Equipment / Tools / Technology:
Knowledge of Google Suites applications including Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Docs
Knowledge of Workday would be an asset.
Knowledge of UKG would be an asset.
