Our Calgary division began as a family farm-based gardening operation during the 1930s under the name F.M. Tamagi and Sons, operating as Bridge Brand. Over the next 70 years, this family-owned market gardening business grew steadily, until it was purchased by Gordon Food Service in January 2002. Today, this even-bigger family business delivers quality foodservice products and solutions to customers in southern Alberta and parts of eastern British Columbia.
We know that food safety is not only the number one concern for consumers when making food-purchasing choices – it’s also an integral part of your operation’s success. That’s why we offer a two-day Food Safety certification course facilitated by Alberta Health Services. This course is recognized throughout Canada to meet or exceed all Municipal, Provincial, or Federal requirements. The two-day course focuses on subjects including: Potentially Hazardous Foods, Personal Hygiene, Cleaning and Sanitizing, Time/Temperature Abuse, HACCP, Food Allergies, and the role of your Health Inspector.
