Our Atlantic division began operating in 2000 as M&S Food Service. In 2003, they became part of our family, enabling coast-to-coast delivery of our quality products and solutions. Our Atlantic division, based in Amherst, now services Nova Scotia, including Cape Breton, Prince Edward Island, and New Brunswick.
We know that food safety is not only the number one concern for consumers when making food-purchasing choices – it’s also an integral part of your operation’s success. That’s why we offer both TrainCan Basics and Advanced food safety training for food handlers. Recognized throughout Canada to meet or exceed all Municipal, Provincial, or Federal requirements, this one-day course focuses on subjects including Potentially Hazardous Foods, Personal Hygiene, Cleaning and Sanitizing, Time/Temperature Abuse, HACCP, Food Allergies, and the role of your Health Inspector.

They will help you with your culinary challenges, whether it be preparation techniques, cooking tips, plate presentation, or even product education. They bring to you expert knowledge in different fields—protein, dairy, produce, chemical, beverages, disposable, grocery, frozen, kitchen equipment, and smallwares—as well as the determination to really listen to you and help you find a solution that works for your business.
Our partner, Atlantic Grocery Distributors can provide you with the products that you need to grow and build your business. Whether you are a restaurant, caterer, convenience store, health care facility, or ship’s galley, they have more than 15,000 products, supplied by more than 600 vendors. The product offering includes the finest quality meats and the freshest produce available. Atlantic Grocery Distributors delivers to Newfoundland and Labrador.
