Gordon Food Service Announces New EVP of North America Specialty Companies and Strategic Ventures

Wyoming, MI, July 8, 2024 – Gordon Food Service, a privately held and family-managed foodservice distributor with operations in the U.S. and Canada, today announced the retirement of its Executive Vice President and President of North America Specialty Companies and Strategic Ventures, Dean Noble, and the appointment of his successor, Jason Nichol.

Dean joined Gordon Food Service in 1999 and has more than 30 years of experience in the foodservice industry. He has held key positions at Gordon Food Service, including President, British Columbia Division; Executive Vice President of Canada distribution; President, Gordon Food Service Canada; and Chief Operating Officer. 

“We are so grateful to Dean for his many years of leadership to the industry and to the company, which has enabled us to grow to become the largest foodservice distributor in Canada”, said Rich Wolowski, President and CEO of Gordon Food Service.

Jason is joining Gordon Food Service with over 30 years of experience with Tyson, Nabisco, Cott Beverages, and Scotts Miracle-Gro. He has held key positions, most recently, at Tyson Foods, including Senior Vice President overseeing strategic initiatives and Chief Customer Officer. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University.
