Nous engageons les meilleurs candidats disponibles, en pensant qu'ils sont pleins de potentiel.<\/p>\n<p>Le plus souvent, nous avons raison. Mais il arrive parfois que l'on s'aper\u00e7oive rapidement qu'un nouvel employ\u00e9 ne convient pas.<\/p>\n<p>Puis il y a ceux qui font un excellent travail pendant des mois, voire des ann\u00e9es, jusqu'\u00e0 ce que leurs performances s'effondrent. Les performances peuvent diminuer pour de nombreuses raisons, dont certaines sont tout \u00e0 fait compr\u00e9hensibles.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mais lorsqu'il s'agit de leadership et de performance des employ\u00e9s, l'adage \u00e0 retenir est le suivant : \u201csi vous roupillez, vous perdez\u201d. Plus vous laissez les performances de vos employ\u00e9s se d\u00e9grader, plus il est difficile de les remettre sur la bonne voie. Les comportements probl\u00e9matiques peuvent rapidement devenir des habitudes, et les habitudes sont difficiles \u00e0 rompre.<\/p>\n<h2>Conseils pour la formation du personnel des restaurants<\/h2>\n<h3>Corriger t\u00f4t et souvent<\/h3>\n<p>Abordez un probl\u00e8me de performance d\u00e8s que vous le remarquez. \u201cHannah, cela fait plusieurs fois que tu es en retard pour les salades ; reprenons ton rythme habituel\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Vous n'en faites pas toute une histoire, mais vous faites savoir \u00e0 l'employ\u00e9 que vous le surveillez. Parfois, c'est tout ce qu'il faut.<\/p>\n<h3>Approfondir le probl\u00e8me s'il persiste<\/h3>\n<p>Et parfois, ce n'est pas le cas. Prenez l'employ\u00e9 \u00e0 part : \u201cHannah, je t'en ai parl\u00e9 la semaine derni\u00e8re, mais la situation ne s'am\u00e9liore pas. Y a-t-il quelque chose qui t'emp\u00eache de travailler \u00e0 ton niveau habituel ? Comment pouvons-nous y rem\u00e9dier ?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Il se peut que vous en appreniez plus que vous ne le souhaitez sur les \u201cprobl\u00e8mes\u201d de l'employ\u00e9. Mais \u00e9coutez attentivement et faites preuve d'empathie. Il se peut en effet qu'il y ait des probl\u00e8mes sur le lieu de travail qui m\u00e9ritent d'\u00eatre abord\u00e9s. Cela dit, ce sont les performances de l'employ\u00e9 qui sont en cause, et non les raisons qui les sous-tendent. Expliquez clairement que vous attendez des am\u00e9liorations.<\/p>\n<h3>Note sur la gestion des jeunes du mill\u00e9naire<\/h3>\n<p>De nombreux managers se disent frustr\u00e9s par les r\u00e9actions des jeunes travailleurs face aux critiques. N'ayez pas peur d'avoir une \u2019conversation difficile\u201c avec un jeune du mill\u00e9naire. Ils peuvent l'accepter, surtout si vous l'exprimez en termes de mentorat et d'orientation. Soyez tr\u00e8s direct sur les probl\u00e8mes de performance qui peuvent entraver leur progression.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Il suffit de leur faire savoir quand ils ont repris le dessus. \u201cH\u00e9, Hannah, tu es de nouveau sur la bonne voie. Merci d'avoir fait ce qu'il fallait pour que les salades soient \u00e0 nouveau distribu\u00e9es en temps voulu.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Organiser une intervention<\/h3>\n<p>Il est un peu plus difficile de remettre les employ\u00e9s sur la bonne voie apr\u00e8s avoir ignor\u00e9 leur diapositive pendant trop longtemps. Mais c'est possible.<\/p>\n<p>Ce qu'il faut, c'est une intervention. Emmenez l'employ\u00e9 dans un endroit priv\u00e9 et mettez-le sur la sellette. D\u00e9finissez clairement le(s) comportement(s) probl\u00e9matique(s) et dites \u00e0 l'employ\u00e9 que la balle est dans son camp : r\u00e9glez le probl\u00e8me et on n'en parlera plus jamais... ou ne le r\u00e9glez pas et vous serez contraint, en tant que manager, de faire ce pour quoi vous \u00eates pay\u00e9. C'est \u00e0 l'employ\u00e9 de d\u00e9cider.<\/p>\n<h3>Vous devez vous en souvenir<\/h3>\n<p>Si l'id\u00e9e d'une intervention vous intimide, tenez compte de deux points essentiels :&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Si vous estimez qu'un probl\u00e8me est suffisamment grave pour justifier une telle mesure, tout le monde sur votre lieu de travail se demande pourquoi vous ne l'avez pas abord\u00e9 plus t\u00f4t.<\/li>\n<li>Les gens jugent vos comp\u00e9tences en mati\u00e8re de leadership en fonction de la mani\u00e8re dont vous g\u00e9rez vos pires employ\u00e9s, et non en fonction de la mani\u00e8re dont vous g\u00e9rez les meilleurs.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Voici un autre bon point : Si vous corrigez t\u00f4t et souvent, vous n'aurez jamais \u00e0 vous soucier d'une intervention.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Correcting early and often builds good habits and more productive, happier workers.
