Et ceux qui misent sur le mentorat ont plus de chances <a href=\"https:\/\/gfs.ca\/fr-ca\/ideas\/des-efforts-de-retention-qui-ont-de-limpact\/\">de garder leurs<\/a> meilleurs employ\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Vous formez d\u00e9j\u00e0 vos employ\u00e9s et leur enseignez de nouvelles comp\u00e9tences? Parfait, vous les accompagnez bien. Mais le mentorat est l\u00e9g\u00e8rement diff\u00e9rent. Il concerne le d\u00e9veloppement de comp\u00e9tences g\u00e9n\u00e9rales (communication et relations) en plus de comp\u00e9tences techniques. Pour que le mentorat soit efficace, il faut conna\u00eetre les aspirations de chacun, puis leur proposer une approche \u00e0 long terme. Bref, leur permettre d\u2019exceller tout en s\u2019investissant dans le futur de votre entreprise.<\/p>\n<p>Selon le dictionnaire, un mentor est un \u00abguide, conseiller sage et exp\u00e9riment\u00e9\u00bb. Mais cette d\u00e9finition ne fait qu\u2019effleurer la surface. Voici la diff\u00e9rence entre un patron, un accompagnateur et un mentor :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Le patron vous dit QUOI faire<\/li>\n<li>L\u2019accompagnateur vous montre COMMENT faire<\/li>\n<li>Le mentor vous explique POURQUOI vous faites tout \u00e7a<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Le mentor mise sur le long terme; il remet en question le rendement si n\u00e9cessaire, mais il encourage \u00e9galement le d\u00e9veloppement du potentiel.<\/p>\n<p>Mais pourquoi est-ce si important? Au fil des ans, les restaurateurs ont mis\u00e9 sur les comp\u00e9tences techniques : serveurs les plus rapides, cuisiniers les plus efficaces, meilleurs gestionnaires de m\u00e9dias sociaux, utilisateurs aguerris de logiciels de comptabilit\u00e9, etc. Mais ils ont oubli\u00e9 les comp\u00e9tences g\u00e9n\u00e9rales comme le leadership ou la capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 d\u00e9l\u00e9guer.<\/p>\n<p>Quand un g\u00e9rant part, il est souvent remplac\u00e9 par la personne suivante sur la liste, soit un employ\u00e9 qui a de bonnes comp\u00e9tences techniques. Un sondage de <a href=\"https:\/\/resources.globoforce.com\/globoforce-blog\/survey-93-of-managers-need-training-on-coaching-employees\">globoforce.com<\/a> met le probl\u00e8me en lumi\u00e8re. On y indique que 93 % des gestionnaires pensent qu\u2019ils auraient besoin de formation sur l\u2019accompagnement et le mentorat. Pourtant, 47 % d\u2019entre eux ne re\u00e7oivent aucune formation quand ils acc\u00e8dent \u00e0 un poste de gestion.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The concentration on technical expertise is beginning to backfire, and it\u2019s showing up with employees leaving when they find themselves without the soft skills needed to take the next step into leadership.
